In 200AD, the Emperor Kairos took power after his fathers passing. He was a more modern thinker, but allowed for old traditions to continue such as the well enjoyed pass time - gladiator fighting. As a retired warrior, Kairos respects the gladiators and roots for their victory within the arena, though he is not merciful on those who do not win or do not give the audience much of a show. Denali, the rare and well renowned sabertoothed tiger has been in the arena since he was nothing more than a cub. Fighting for his life every time the arena opens up for spectators. He is genuinely kind and caring, but is forced to kill in order to gain his coveted freedom. He also yearns for companionship but making friends in the bowels of the arena is a big mistake for no one is safe from battling to the death.
